The Polarie Star Tracker from Vixen Optics is an incredibly compact, motorized, tracking mount. The smooth and sleek, visually attractive Polarie attaches to a standard camera tripod with a ball head on one side and a DSLR or smaller camera on the other up to 7 pounds. Point the Polarie north with the integrated compass, use the alignment window by pointing it at Polaris, the North Star, or use an optional polar scope. Star trails and false fuzzies are eliminated in the time exposures of the attached camera as the Polarie tracks the motion of the stars across the celestial dome. Two user-supplied AA batteries can power the unit for ~4 hours or an optional external power supply (not included) can be used. Although, not waterproof, the Polarie is designed to function in most weather conditions. It weighs in at less than an incredible 1½ lbs and is about the size of a paperback book. The gentLED-AUTO is an intervalometer (interval meter) for repeatedly triggering digital cameras and camcorders that have IR capability. This intervalometer sends an IR signal that fires the camera shutter at preset intervals. Once switched on it repeatedly fires the shutter without operator involvement, making it ideal for taking time-lapse sequences, photographs where the operator isn't present, and astronomy "bulb" exposures.
Uses a precision 22turn adjustment to allow exact setting of timing, easy to use and for security it wont change accidentally! At switch-on a short flashing sequence informs the operator of the interval to the nearst second.

Like its two bigger brothers the MagicBall and MagicBall 50, the Novoflex Mini MagicBall is a marvel of innovation. You have instant access to 85% of a sphere, making this far and away the quickest-to-position ballhead on the market. There is no vertical notch necessary!
The MagicBall surface is coated with a scratch-resistant, smooth shell which significantly reduces the transmission of vibrations while allowing the user to move the gear with ease and expedience. There is no independent panning capacity with the MagicBall, but this can be solved by using Novoflex's Universal Panorama Plate if you're so inclined. Together the two pieces provide quicker use than all other ballheads.
The Mini MagicBall can hold almost all 35mm-sized digital SLR gear, and will not creep even with an SLR with 70-200mm f/2.8 lens and flash attached. While it has immense locking power for its little size, it does not have tension control like the two larger models-the Mini was designed for the traveller whom needs the lightest kit possible and was willing to make such a sacrifice. If you will be tracking moving subjects with large telephoto lenses, you will be better served by the MagicBall 50.
